Bringing

Modern Motors

A new way to off-road. Custom-built to adapt existing EV technology from the Motocross and passenger vehicle sector to the unique demands of rugged terrain.

217 Horsepower

Two dual 81 kilowatt motors from Ventus are mechanically coupled through a jackshaft to provide 162 kilowatts of power. At an 8:1 reduction, this system can achieve 1824 Nm of torque with an ideal wheel RPM of 1,750. The torque and wheel speed rival factory stock ICE-powered models weighing twice as much.

400 lb Frame

The frame is constructed from computerized laser-cut tubing, exploring new manufacturing capabilities to increase weld penetration and strength while decreasing build time. Our frame design revolves around fast integration and future upgradeability. In addition, batteries and high-current components are located on isolated external wings to avoid human harm during electrical failures.

100 mile Range

Four 96 V 56 Ah batteries give us a total of 21.5 kWh of power. With a goal of a hundred-mile range, our initial prototype vehicle will only feature two batteries to decrease cost, while the final version will contain the liquid-cooled four-battery suite.

Low Noise

Unlike ICE, the vehichle ensures a quiet, smooth hum even during aggressive trail riding. Traditional combustion engines disturb forest ecosystems that in large part rely on sound for communication and information.

Electric powertrains eliminate environmentally harmful products of internal combustion. While the combustion industry has made leaps and bounds in building cleaner engines, an electric powertrain keeps nature as undisturbed as possible.

With no reciprocating mass and significantly fewer moving parts, our mechanical drivetrain is more reliable and requires less maintenance than traditional IC drivetrains. In an off-road setting, this ruggedness is particularly valuable.
